What a sad state of affairs that the first update of the year is in April.....
However, there is an update and we are still living - although there are only 2 at the moment. Eric and myself. We plan on jamming acoustically on some choice covers and a bunch of originals - new and old. We are going to get shows around the area and see what this avenue has to offer.
We will also once again be the entertainment for Chesterton's Relay For Life being held June 20th at Chesterton HS. Come out and support a GREAT cause.
Illumina Records has been giving us great exposure with the Rockers For Life CD Compilation we were a part of.
It's been a long road - some 8 years and counting and we're still going - albeit a bit slower in our old age. Look for more updates (sooner than next year - I promise.

Hello. The bad news is our gig Saturday was cancelled due to inclement weather. The good news is that we're still around to play gigs. We will possibly play at Underground Lounge this coming Saturday. If so, it will be around 10pm.
Happy Holidays

Hello all. I hope your Summer is going well. We are still grinding away over here.
EchoFarm has been involved in many things this Summer - mostly benefits. In July we played the 2nd Annual Relay For Life benefiting cancer survivors. We also appear on a compilation called Midwest Rockers For Life which raises awareness about teenage drunk driving and the dangers inherent in that deadly mix. We now have those CD's if interested, they are $10 and 100% goes towards the cause. Lastly, we will be playing this Sunday at Leroy's in Chesterton to raise money for 1st Response Units so they may buy equipment suitable for small children. A lot of 1st Response Teams are only equipped with stuff for grown adults.
We feel really good about using our music to help in any way we can.
More Soon.
July 14th
Thanks to everyone that came out last night to the Relay For Life benefit. What a great night! The weather was perfect and although over half of our set was brand new, we ripped though the songs without many problems. This year's event was MUCH bigger than last years. Hopefully, we can continue to provide the entertainment for years to come.
Our good friends in Everyday Celebrity have invited us to play at 2nd Dimensions this coming Friday night. We'll be opening up at 10pm and playing for about an hour. If you have time, come on out and see what we've been up to for the past couple of months. Then stay and rock out to Everyday!! 2nd D's is always a good time to hang out and have some drinks and a good time.
Lastly, I just had to throw a little blurb in about the Police concert last week. If you watch the Cubs, you know that the stadium is always packed. Now imagine the whole field covered in fans also and everyone of them totally rocking out through 2 hours of all the Police hits but also they're deep cuts. Some of which were The Bed's Too Big W/O You, Driven To Tears and So Lonely. When they played So Lonely the whole stadium shook. I thought for a minute we were going to be casualties underneath the upped deck overhang. A concert like that only comes around once in awhile. I'm glad I was there to check it.
Anyhows, stay tuned as EchoFarm is starting to get it going again. Our Illumina Records release is in production right now so, that'll be a pretty cool piece of merch to get your hands on as we will only be getting 50 copies. $10 and 100% goes to fighting teenage drunk driving.
More Later,

Hello all. Just wanted to give an update to say that, incredibly, there have been no line-up changes now for over a month in the EchoFarm camp. We have been working hard on A LOT of new material. At least 8 brand new songs are in various stages of being written - all of which will be played at the July 13th Chesterton Relay For Life. We are also working on a couple of Chicago gigs.
Also of note, if you notice the link below to Indianapolis Rockers For Life, this is a project we were contacted about to be a part of awhile ago. In a nutshell, it is a collection of unsigned bands that get put on a compilation CD for the sole purpose of raising awareness about drunk driving in teens. I have been informed that the CD's are in production and we should be receiving ours soon. Please follow the link to check out the progress. There will be many perks besides the CD's and they will be presented as they come up.
Me and the boys hope to see you out and about this summer.

You'll notice to the right that I put up a new section called recommended media. Pretty much just some cd's, dvd's or books that members of the band are currently into and feel they are worth checking out.

Fun show last night!! Best songs were the new ones. Nothing like learning on the stage! Phyllis' was a pretty cool place to play a show. Hope to be back there soon. Pics will be up soon.

We've now had 3 practices as a whole band and we will be playing tomorrow night in Chicago. Under normal circumstances, I'd be worried but things have worked out and I think we have some good ideas and good energy going with the four guys in the band. Not to mention, Eric has wrote three new songs - all of which will be played tomorrow. The songs aren't done yet but you should get the point. We hope to see you all come out and enjoy some cold beer and good music on Memorial Day weekend - 2007 style.
Website will be updated soon with some cool stuff. Stay tuned. E'Farm '07

So, obviously things are underfoot here in the world of EchoFarm. After a pretty dismal winter, we were pretty much done with the whole band thing. Eric & I never talked about it but it just seemed that it would be impossible to get the whole train rolling again. I guess "never say never" means something after all. A few months back, I received an e-mail from a drummer who saw an older ad I had placed on-line and was interested in jamming. It actually took me awhile to get back to him because, as I said, we weren't really planning on doing anything. For some reason, E & I were talking and we said lets give it a whirl and we got a hold of Mike DeLeurere, a drummer from Highland. We agreed to meet on a Saturday approx. 4 weeks ago. We've practiced every week since (except last week) Mike sports a vintage 4 piece Ludwig set. Sparkle red finish no less. So, we had 3. The only thing better than 3 is 4. Last Saturday, we called Jerry McClure to invite him to come and play bass with us. He accepted and we ended up rocking out about 3 or 4 songs. The whole time I've been thinking is this thing going to take off? A couple of days ago, I get a message on myspace from a drummer who was in a band we used to jam with in Chicago asking if we would be interested in an opening slot up in Chicago next Saturday. Ever the enthusiast, I started making phone calls to the recently reformed EchoFarm. Much to my surprise, everyone was pretty stoked about the idea. One practice be damned. We will practice 2 or 3 times before then and go up and resume this thing where it was abruptly left off last September.
Whatever happens, happens. I know the guys are just happy to be playing and for the moment, that is enough for us.
See you soon!!
